New Free Site, ShareTV.org, Finally Makes Downloading TV Shows Simple

ShareTV.org tracks the best tv torrents and makes them easy to access with a well organized system. The site has only been online a week and has already been featured on the home page of Digg.com and the hotlist on del.icio.us.

Millions of people already download tv shows using torrents. This process is nothing new as there are already thousands of torrent sites which include tv shows. ShareTV.org merely makes it easy for the beginner. Unlike the movie industry which suffers from users pirating movies, the tv networks have noticed an increase of revenue due to the craze of downloading tv shows. They’ve found more people continue watching their shows on television if they are able to download any missed episodes.

ShareTV.org organizes torrents by name, season, and episode. Each shows includes the title of the episode, when it was aired and how many seeds it has. Seeders are people who have finished downloading the video and are now sharing it. The more seeders usually means faster downloading speed. Other torrent sites have a much larger selection, but ShareTV only lists the highest quality episodes with the most seeds showing only one torrent per episode. To make this easy ShareTV has RSS feeds on every show which can be used by programs like uTorrent to auto-download. A feed contains all episodes for that show sorted by the date aired. That way a program can know which episodes are new.

Even though this site has just been released, ShareTV.org already has thousands of accounts. With an account, which is optional, users are able to keep track of what shows they download and create personalized RSS feeds for their favorite shows.
