Legendary Make-Up Artist Joe Blasco Makes Up Zsa Zsa Gabor For Her 25th Wedding Anniversary Party.

95 year old actress Zsa Zsa Gabor celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary to Prince Von Anhalt today in Beverly Hills, California. And, even though she’s in her nineties, she’s still Zsa Zsa Gabor! And Zsa Zsa Gabor doesn’t go to a party without having her make-up applied by a professional.
For this occasion she chose her old pal, the legendary make-up artist Joe Blasco (http://www.joeblasco.com). Mr. Blasco has done Ms. Gabor’s make-up on numerous occasions and was happy to oblige. “At this stage of my career, I really don’t do any make-up calls, much less house calls!,” said Mr. Blasco, who continued, “but when the call came in that Zsa Zsa wanted me to do her make-up for this party, tears came to my eyes. I said yes immediately.” Mr Blasco reports that he and Zsa Zsa reminisced about their past. “She even grabbed her purse and opened it to show me that it was full of my make-up! I loved it!”
The party was attended by Hollywood notables such as Quincy Jones, Julie Newmar, and more.
Mr. Blasco summed up the event like this: “People often ask me what is the most exciting thing about Hollywood? Well, today sums it up. You get a call. You get in your car. You arrive at a party. You do a famous star’s make-up. You mingle with Hollywood celebrities. And, you get paid a lot of money! Where else in the world can you do that?”
Joe Blasco has been the make-up artist to hundreds of Hollywood celebrities such as Marlene Dietrich, Carol Burnett, John Wayne and many more. He started and is the proprietor of the first professional make-up training school in the world. He has his own line of cosmetics available to both make-up artists and retail to the public.
